Mill began as a search for a company to facilitate products to market.
After many months of research and dozens of calls made to product
evaluation and invention submission companies, it became evident
that most did not offer the in-depth services required to push a
concept through to fruition. Most companies contacted offered invention
evaluation as a means of selling patenting services or as a proposition
to broker the invention. They didn't offer market research analysis,
which is essential to identifying risk factors. Their services did
not include a business plan, financial projection or marketing strategy
development, which are all crucial to finding investment and licensing
opportunities. They did not provide design and engineering services,
nor were they able to develop or produce a proof-of-concept to determine
functionality and cost of goods.
Mill was created as a Concept-to-Product company. Like a grain or
textile mill takes in raw materials, we take in concepts, then process
and refine them into finished products.
goal is to create streamlined solutions geared towards the self-funded
entrepreneur. Idea Mill has grown into a collection of individuals,
resources and processes for transforming unique and unusual ideas
into marketable products. Idea Mill principals and board members
